I have followed his advice and it is working very well. Within weeks I could clearly feel the benefits. Thank you Dr. Mounts!
Before surgery, I was almost in a wheelchair barely able to walk at all with pain down my leg. After surgery I can at least walk & the pain down the leg has been relieved. Dr. Mounts is caring, compassionate and knowledgeable. I trust him & have recommended him to several others!
For years I suffered chronic, disabling back pain. During this period I consulted with three different doctors for the purpose of obtaining relief and/or treatment of my back on order to regain my quality of life. While all of the doctors agreed I had a decayed spinal condition none offered surgery as treatment opting instead to treat it this opioids, steroid injections, etc. On October 12, 2015, I underwent a complex lumbar spine fusion to address my chronic back pain. The surgery was performed by Doctor Troy Mounts.
I did not go into the surgery lightly and did my due diligence investigation of Dr. Mounts prior to going forward, additionally I met with Dr. Mounts on several occasions to review my x-rays and multiple MRI’s. I appreciated the candor and confident demeanor he brought to our discussions. He spent the time necessary to address all my questions and explain the procedures in a lay person manner that made me feel I was in good hands.

I have been seeing Dr Mounts for more than one year for a compression fracture and flat back syndrome. Surgery was not offered as a first method of treatment and I am living an active life at 84 while on Physical Therapy. Thank You Dr Mounts for a successful treatment plan that is working.
I have been seeing Dr Mounts for my flatback syndrome. I am 84 years old and reluctant to have surgery. Dr Mounts has me on Physical Therapy which has relieved the discomfort somewhat and permitted me to live an active life at a subdued pace. I like the fact that surgery was offered as a last resort
I didn’t need surgery. Dr. Mounts took care of all my issues including medication, xrays and physical therapy. He is very personable and professional. I am very happy with the treatment provided.

Dr. Mounts saved my job and gave me back qualit of life. I work for a large technology company and am required to work with technology a lot. On a recent trip to Pismo Beach I experienced an ATV accident and injury. I was lucky to find Dr. Mounts. A local PB Doctor misdiagnosed my injury and put me on heavy med’s. After 2 weeks of suffering and frequent in cohesion, I was threatened with termination. A local trainer connected me with this life saver.
From his initial handshake and eye contact, I knew I’d made the right call. Very personable, great listener, super intelligent and knowledgeable. Took the time to explain my situation and I look forward to feeling better under his care and guidance.
I was up and walking the day of my surgery and doing laps around the hospital the next day. Was walking 1+miles per day within a week and 3 miles within 3 weeks. Great bedside manner and very dynamic. He spent a great deal of time helping me understand everything that he was going to do. Additionally, he was very accessible electronically and personally for questions after my surgery A superb addition to our Central Coast physician core.
